Good knews is that the backtrace for the crash is exactly the same for my OnePlus, Daniel's Google Pixel and Johanna's Samsung.

Bad news is that the bug is upstream, not in MBraille itself.  I reported the bug.
https://github.com/flutter/flutter/issues/183818. 

I will follow if they acknowledge the bug and will try to thing of a possible workaround or other fix.
