Hi Jean-Philippe,

Your previous message went to me only I think, so my message went directly to you.

I'm trying to get this one to the list and Harri…

The three finger swipes do not work for issuing a command.

I can swipe up toward myself in landscape mode and clear text, or up toward the top of the phone which is to my left, and undo what I had done, or swipe down, away from me toward the side button and enter or exit command mode.

I did not find a clear explanation in the helps.

And, the four finger swipe to get back to the menu also is not working for me.

I'm waiting on clarification about what "up" means exactly if holding the phone landscaped with the charging port to the right…

.

Hey everyone, have a very happy new year 2026, health love and happiness to all.

Richard, dot commands have now been replaced by a three finger swipe up, but they do not seem to work on my phone yet.

Tried for yourself, read the help to know about changes from the legacy version.

Cheers,

JPR

Harri,

First, Happy New Year to you as well.

I'm on 0.52.

I have never gotten the 4 finger swipe to get back to the menu to work with or without VoiceOver enabled.

I made MBraille self voicing and exit VoiceOver after activating the Braille Editor.

I hold the phone with the power port to the right, so the volume buttons are on top.

In which direction is "up" in that position?

Using a dropped d dots 2,5,6 as the period before a command like radio doesn't work.  The Self-Voicing says 4, when I use the dropped d.  I'm in UEB Contracted Braille.

I write something, hit period mail and nothing happens but a tone like a misspelling.

Any idea what I am doing wrong?

Thanks,

Hi all,

And now for something completely different and new:

v0.5.2 introduces proof of concept radio command with 5 channels.

Swipe up with 3 fingers, type

radio

and swipe down.  It will play at random one of the 5 built in internet radio stations.

You can also do: radio 1

to directly go to station 1, etc.

Arguments are

radio, radio 1-5, radio off, radio pause, or radio resume

radio stop is the same as radio off.

The radio will keep playing even if you quit MBraille.

It should obey headset buttons for pause and resume... to be tested.

If this is deemed to work well enough, I will later introduce a list of stations that can be updated from a server, plus filters via genre, language or location.

Remember: hold 4 and swipe up to do back in command history.

Best regards,

Harri
