Hello,

I second the idea of MBraille as a third-party keyboard, at least on Android. This would make it possible for users of other screen readers to have access to it since the TalkBack Braille keyboard can’t be accessed by other screen readers.

Best regards

Daniel

Hi Harri.

What is the cal command? Is it the call command?

Tell us, are you planning to implement the third-party keyboard on this version? I’m not sure I really need it except for one thing which is that the spell checker works better than on Apple native Braille keyboard, especially with contracted braille. But it’s only a small advantage and Wel, what do others say about this?

Best regards,

JPR

Hi all,

0.9.9 is out, celebrating Norwegian performance in winter olympics by introducing support for contracted braille in Norwegian :)

cal command is also back, with a twist.

I spent a lot of time tweaking the slider for speech rate setting, finally making it work also in Talkback.  Not sure how close it is to Apple native slider in VoiceOver, but hopefully usable.

Cheers,

Harri
