I have never had a problem with 4 finger swipes on my iPhones.  I've had the SE, 13 Pro and now the 16 Pro.

When I was teaching, some people had difficulty getting the four finger swipe to work because they didn't get all four fingers to make contact at the same time.

iPads are very different animals.

Subject: [MBraille-Test] 4 finger swipe issue

Hi,

I think Elaine wrote having issues with 4 fingers swipes registering, but I don't recall anyone else mentioning this.

I finally got myself a new iPad, and 4 finger swipes are almost unusable there.

Seems like iOS is cancelling the 4th finger swipe, not always but over 50% of the time those don't work.

My hypothesis is that thanks to removal of the physical home button, some code path to

recognize those remains active, even if I unchecked the Four & Five Finger App Switching from the iPad settings.

But I don't think Elaine has an iPad, so something else might also be going on.

Anyone else have issues with 4 finger swipes?   The two finger scrub works to go back to main menu as alternative, but I'm wondering if I need to drop 4 finger swipes completely...

Best regards,

Harri
