MBraille Beta: First iOS Test Release This is an intermediate beta release. To ensure your current workflow isn't interrupted, this will install as MBraille Beta and will not overwrite the version you downloaded from the App Store. Both Android and iOS versions are available through Firebase, you should have received in invite to test mail already. Note that not all user's device id has finished processing, I got a popup that it will take 24-72 for first time registration. Primary Testing Goals The main objective of this build is to verify the download and installation process for those who have registered their device IDs. Additionally, I am looking for specific feedback on: - Accessibility: How well do VoiceOver and TalkBack perform? - System Commands: Do the mail, call, and sms commands function as expected? - Feedback: Please try the updated feedback command (details below). I plan to release updates on a nearly daily basis over the coming weeks to keep our momentum going. --------------------------------------------------------------- New Feature: Command Mode Command mode replaces the old "dot commands." You can now execute commands anywhere in your text, not just at the beginning of a line. - To Enter: Swipe up with three fingers. - To Execute: Type your command (e.g., google braille or version) and swipe down. - Audio Feedback: Entering/exiting command mode now features an optional audio effect instead of a spoken announcement. --------------------------------------------------------------- ChangeLog - Feedback Command: Now sends an email directly to me (including device and language info for debugging) via your default mail app. - Editing: Fixed issues with text selection, cutting, and pasting. - Announcements: Fixed capital and number sign announcements across several languages. - Localization: Added additional translations for multiple languages. - Stability: Various small fixes and vastly improved automated regression testing.
