Hello Harry, Compared to the legacy Mbraille application, I notice a small latency with the click sound. It's no big deal but it's a little disconcerting. I'm using an iPhone. I don't know if it's the same on Android devices, but it would feel more comfortable if the sound was heard just as you release your fingers from the screen. Can you do this? Also could you add a click level setting? That would be great. I was feeling better with the legacy mbraille click level, but it might not suit everyone. What do you think? Cheers, J.P R http://www.jprykiel.com http://soundcloud.com/ryksounet https://www.youtube.com/c/jprykiel Http://www.facebook.com/jprykiel
I do agree that the latency seems worse on the betas compared with the old app. It feels like the phone is lagging. It's a small difference, but enough to turn some people off using the app I'd suspect. Keith On 2026-03-11 3:38 a.m., Jean-Philippe Rykiel via MBraille-Test wrote:

Hi Harri! Can you make the app use the device default clicks as you did in MBraille legacy app? That might work out. Best regards Thomas Sendt fra min Macbook Pro via Apple mail

I second this. The clicks in the legacy were perfect because they used the default system clicks and had no lag. The lag with the new app is subtle, but it completely disrupts my typing and feels very off compared to the legacy app and BSI because BSI uses the same system clicks with no lag, just like the legacy MBraille app and 3rd-party keyboard did.
