Hi everybody, Dictation and App Launcher coming in this release. After initial download, the dictation happens fully on device, no network is required. Now I have all the big features done I had in mind, next remains only polishing, bug fixing, translations... Full release notes contain more stuff. Disclaimer, I made a lot of changes for this release, but have not tested extensively, so some tree shaking for bugs is to be expected. Oops, the dictation/record does not seem to work in my iPad, but it does work on my Android phone. I'm hoping it is because my iPad is too old and has only 2 Gb of memory. So let me know if it works for you. Best regards, Harri
Hi, In this latest release swipes left and right no longer work on my device. I think they are now all registered as swipes up. 1 finger swipe right reads the buffer but does not enter a space. 3 finger swipe left opens command mode instead of undo. 4 finger swipe right opens menu instead of keyboard calibration. I even tried recalibrating the keyboard via settings but the issue remains.'

I cannot duplicate this behavior on iOS; for me, all swipe directions are working correctly and as expected. However, the lag issue, both with speech and clicks, as compared to the legacy app, still remain. I do love the system clicks coming back, but the lag still makes using the app unpleasant for me, so much so that I am always using the legacy app because the typing feedback, both character and word output, as well as the clicks, are much more natural and lag-free. My strong recommendation is to address this issue before release, as very fast braille typists like myself will immediately notice the lag. Once you are used to 0 lag, as with the legacy app and BSI, even a slight lag completely throws off the typing rhythm unfortunately.

I checked out all of the gestures and the only one I'm having issues with is the 4 fingers swipe up to open the menu. Otherwise, all other gestures are working as they should. Eilen Sent from my iPhone

Interesting. I have tried force quitting and restarting the app, as well as disabling lock rotation in control center. Still, no matter what I do I can not get a left or right swipe gesture to work. Have tried regular swipe action, as well as exaggerated long swipes. All left or right swipes register as if they were swipes up. Even if I hold dot 3 and swipe left or right, it registers as holding dot 3 and swiping up. Down swipes work properly.

I could not reinitialize the layout with the 4 finger swipe right, as the swipe right is being misinterpreted as a swipe up and opens the main menu. I did reinitialize the layout via the settings. No change. Keith

I only have word echo on, but when doing backspace, just as an example, if I repeatedly and very quickly swipe left over and over, the speech is completely silent because it cant keep up and keeps interrupting before it can even speak. Whereas with the legacy app, if you backspace repeatedly, it instantly responds and reads the deleted character and speaks it, so it's much more responsive.
