After I turned off speak characters, I could heard the clicks when typing. The clicks are fine, but Apple's default click sounds are louder. I am writing this with BSI, characters are being echoed, and I have no trouble hearing the keyboard clicks. I'll leave characters off so all I hear are the clicks and the words when finished.
