Welcome Anna! You should be able to set a default mail app in Android system settings, but it may wary depending on Android version / phone vendor. If that fails, I could probably force it to use gmail and give that option in MBraille settings. More widely, to be able to fully stay in MBraille with phone facing away when messaging, that would need deeper integration with the messaging platform, effectively not using an external app but handling everything in MBraille. I've actually done some research into that possibility, and I think Bluesky and Telegram would allow that, but that is in the future for now. Regarding WhatsApp groups, indeed, it appears to fail when looking up those. I'll see if something can be done about that. Hello list⠐! I am new to mbraille. I am ann-kathrin from Germany. Well, the idea of a braille overlay to use your phone completely in braille is basically a phantastic idea, but there are still a lot of work to do. M first of all i am an android user, using jieshuo instead o f talkback. When writing mails i need to select the mail program but | i like using it with screen away from me. | i cannot interact with any alerts then. Is there a trick? Second: on android it seems to very much hate whatsapp groups. I give it the name in the command and it tells me phone number for cozy.girls.lounge not found. Is there a way out? Greetings, ann-kathrin, or just anna.
