Hi again Harri! Ok, just noted the following about audio ducking. Is this expected behaviour or a bug? Remember in my previous message I stated that MBraille beta did duck audio always until I exited the app from the app switcher. I found a workaround, here are steps to reproduce both cases: How to reproduce constant audio duck 1. If MBraille is active, close it from the app switcher. 2. Start some background audio. I used Apple Music, just because that was easy to get to. 3. Open MBraille. Notice that audio ducking works as expected. Important: Make sure that the screen focus is at is the main screen with: Braille editor, settings and help icons. If you turned on show braille editor at start up, go into settings and turn this off, before continuing. 4. Make MBraille run in background. I tested this on iOS, so I just made the home gesture on my phone. Expected: Audio ducking should be suspended. Observed: Audio ducking runs in background. Now, here is how to get audio ducking working as expected: 1. 4. Activate the braille editor button. 5. Make MBraille run in background. I tested this on iOS, so I just made the home gesture on my phone. Expected and observed: Audio ducking is suspended. Best regards Thomas Sendt fra min Macbook Pro via Apple mail

Hi Harri!
I think what Keith is saying, that audio ducking should not be used at all if VoiceOver is being used for speech, as VoiceOver handles it's own audio ducking. I agree, this should perhaps also be true if external keyboard is selected under the keyboard section in settings? I believe I fixed the issue you reported, where audio ducking stayed active when MBraille went to background.
I just reinstalled 0.9.29, and constantly see audio ducking when MBraille beta is running, to get audio back I have to exit the app from the app switcher. The only thing I changed was turn on contracted braille and select Danish Sara compact, just to make sure that selfvoicing was working in my language. I have to make life easier for me as tester made a document with all MBraille default settings so I can compare those later. I have tested with the Apple Music app on my device, and wonder if that makes any difference?

Hi Harri and Keith!
You are right about the audio ducking misbehaving, Keith. I have seen it arise when the external keyboard mode is active.
I think I have tracked some of the issues down: The following settings is what makes non expected behaviour for me. When I unexpected behaviour I mean that audio ducking stays active, even when MBraille beta is running in the background.
I am working to find the exact steps to reproduce this, but I am not sure how I managed to get this behavior. Best regards Thomas Sendt fra min iPhone via BrailleSense U2/MBraille

Hi, I find I am getting the new MBraille audio ducking activated with certain things, with self voicing disabled. It is possibly worse with 0.929 than with 0.928. I just tried regressing to .928. I think the new line sounds are activating the audio ducking, and a few other things.
in 0.929 the dropbox update thing seems to be hitting me every time the app gains focus, which kicks in the audio ducking. So have yet to experience voiceover with no ducking in 0.929. Can get it in 0.928 until I do a new line.
