Hello Harry, now dictating with Embrale. It works amazing and even much better than Siri. I just realized I could switch languages, at least between French and english. Well, until one point where it started translating everything I was saying in English to French. Now I've just switched Embraer language to English and we'll see how it goes. Swiping left and right are back now. few. I don't see much latency difference with this new build, but it's okay. For me at least. Best regards. Hi, The swipes are fixed! This is a list of bugs I am experiencing, with the most serious ones first. Some of these I have mentioned in previous messages, some I have not, although to my knowledge they have been around in previous versions. sms not defaulting to mobile number on contacts with more than one phone number. M: prefix does not work. Spell check will not spell out words for me as I swipe through suggestions even though I have that setting enabled. If self voicing is on and I swipe right while holding dot 1 I do hear the spelling. But then lifting my finger does not make the correction. With Voiceover voice I do not hear the word spelled out, even if I swipe right. I have UEB turned on currently but grade 2 braille contractions are working. I had not noticed this bug before as I primarily work in grade 2. Currently UEB is on but the to and ation contractions are still being expanded. This should not be the case. In grade 2 braille, if I use the to contraction (normally this is tac'ed on to the beginning of a word) and swipe right, I only hear the second word spoken, even though 2 words are entered. Same with all other multi word contractions. In command mode, .goo expands to .google instead of google I fixed it with a command alias, but worth fixing to go with the help documentation. I'd love to see MBraille open directly to the keyboard. This isn't a bug necessarily, but a regression in my opinion from the older app. Having to click through a notification about file syncing and then select braille editor from the main menu feels tedious when I am just wanting to send a quick text or take a note. It still does feel funny to me that the sounds don't work when the phone ringer is off. I think even the self voicing voice does not speak when ringer is off. Maybe this is a design choice? To it it feels like most users would benefit from having command minde sounds and typing clicks controlled independently of the phone ringer. Hello Harry! I'd like to know a little more about your dictation engine. BTW it'se great that it works offline. Do you know if it can handle keywords for backtracking, like correcting something wrong you said during dictation? Now you know how we are: the more we get the more we want. Would it be possible to add an Apple shortcut (sorry for Android users) to start dictation without having to open Mbraille and type the dictation command? Thanks for all you do! Hi Jean-Philippe, Sorry, I'm not planning to enhance the dictation further at this point. There is no out of the box support for editing past dictation vocally, so I would need to implement it. For the dictation, not sure what you mean by Apple specific gesture? For the time being you could bind record to one of the command gestures. That said, I was thinking of adding some more gestures for binding, but that is for a future update. The dictation works also on Android, although it is not as quick to transcribe, as Android software support for hardware acceleration is less mature and more fragmented. It will get better in time. Keith asked for MBraille to open directly to keyboard, I'll add a setting for that. Previously, when phones still had a home button, it was easy to suspend MBraille using that and get back to MBraille keyboard. It is still possible, but trickier with the current phones. I was referring to Apple's shortcuts application. I don't know if you know about this 1, it allows assigning specific tasks to shortcuts in the iPhone itself, which can even be triggered by Siri, and some third-party applications already take advantage of it. But don't bother if you don't, it was just another crazy idea.
