I updated MBraille Desktop for Windows. It is now fully self-voicing, as NVDA and JAWS had trouble navigating it fully. So the advice is to suspend those while using MBraille.

Windows version is a free application, meant for learning Braille, so suitable for educators, students, etc.
Like mobile versions, it is localized to 24 languages.
