Hi Harri! Preview mode feels still very slow. i cannot get the speech interrupt to work when I swipe fast through written text. I wonder if this is due to language/voice or something you can tune in MBraille itself? When I swipe left in an empty buffer to trigger the delete last character, I hear backspace, beginning of text in English. Is this possible to correct? Please let me know if you want any translation in relation to strings and the updated help file. I will be happy to collaborate, we just need to find the right platform for this. Hi again Harri! Ok, I may have an odd man out phone here. If I enable both clicks and vibration while typing I notice a bigger lag again. As soon as both of these were turned on, I noticed the lag and that my mistakes got worse even though I haven't changed anything. It felt like MBraille didn't catch my gestures and swipes. I know I typed quite fast, but it was not a problem until both of these settings were turned on again. I wonder if I am trying to push MBraille too much here, but I really enjoy clicks and vibration feedback while typing. Hello Harry, Things are getting much better here. It's still not quite as quick as the legacy M-Braille, but it is certainly better. I wonder if we could reach the same level of reactivity regarding all the features you added to the application. Tell me, Could we have a choice in clicks? Some people prefer it softer, and some louder. Lastly, I noticed a little thing about removing words from the dictionary. Words still appear on the list once they have been removed, you have to close and reopen the list to realize they were gone. I'm transitioning to a subscription model: €2/month or €20/year (yearly saves €4) with 1 month free trial. Existing users who purchased the app are grandfathered with lifetime access. So on iOS MBraille 26 will be just an upgrade for existing users, restore purchases will make it work. I plan to migrate the old alias.mb, user dictionaries to new version automatically without user interaction. There already is a new mailing list available, with currently 0 subscribers: https://lists.mpaja.com/mailman3/lists/mbraille.lists.mpaja.com/ I will also do a proper website and contact form there. I wish you have done that years ago. I would have ben glad to support you back then! Is there any way that existing users can convert to the subscription model? And will this result in one month free trial, and after that will MBraille just ask you to make a subscription? I wonder if you could let people use the braille keyboard and play with it without using commands or any other features, but just trying the functionality of the keyboard. Dropbox syncing: I saved a document yesterday and each time I open MBraille ever since, it reminds me that this document needs to be synced to Dropbox, but I haven't done anything to that document since I saved it. Is this expected behaviour?
Not expected, but a known issue. Already in my ToDo list. I think Google Drive and OneDrive are also affected.
I know you are getting close to a official release therefor a few questions, that are not important as of now, but will be quite important before an update to App Store or Google Play gets out: * How will alias.mb be merged from MBraille legacy? Mine got way too big, but I can fix it by copy-paste if nothing else can be done, but I know quite a few users who cannot do this without assistance. * How will old MBraille settings be merged? * Can you share some informations about how users can get in touch? Before you used a regular mailling list. Is this still a plan? * If users used MBraille legacy with Dropbox, will their files be merged to the new MBraille directory, or will you provide some steps instead? * Can you share some thoughts of the price for MBraille?
I'm transitioning to a subscription model: €2/month or €20/year (yearly saves €4) with 1 month free trial. Existing users who purchased the app are grandfathered with lifetime access.
So on iOS MBraille 26 will be just an upgrade for existing users, restore purchases will make it work. I plan to migrate the old alias.mb, user dictionaries to new version automatically without user interaction.

I wish you have done that years ago. I would have ben glad to support you back then! Is there any way that existing users can convert to the subscription model? And will this result in one month free trial, and after that will MBraille just ask you to make a subscription? I wonder if you could let people use the braille keyboard and play with it without using commands or any other features, but just trying the functionality of the keyboard.

For me the slider works when using VoiceOver, with a caveat. I need to swipe down or up 10 times before it changes on my iPad. I will fix this.
And the settings screen failing on me becomes more and more of an issue while testing MBraille. When VoiceOver gets stuck I can get focus back if I restart VoiceOver, but it really adds up time while trying to focus on testing swipe sensitivity settings or adjusting other settings to test the different parts of MBraille.

In some cases self voicing says: Main menu, and VoiceOver waits a little before focus perhaps is at braille editor, but in other cases it will announce: braille keyboard, as if the keyboard area still is in "fake focus" Perhaps this gives you ideas to the settings screen as well, where focus gets lost and VoiceOver becomes unusable until I reload the screenreader entirely.
