Dot in front of a command

Hi, Thomas, I think you wrote in the past that due to using both the external keyboard mode, where a dot is required in front of a command in the old style, and the new commands, you occasionally try to invoke a new command with the dot and fail. I think your requirement is niche enough that I prefer not to add support for it. This is mainly to keep the complexity down. But you can create an alias for the commands that includes the dot. Putting something like command .mail: mail into alias.mb should do the trick. Making it a command alias ensures that it will not trigger in external keyboard buffer, breaking the .mail command there. Hi, Many small fixes. Audio ducking disabled for typing clicks, was omitted from changelog. Dictation should now work better with words in your local dict + your contacts. Unless major issues, next release will probably come from Apple TestFlight and Google PlayStore, to be seen what kind of setup and how much time it takes. Best regards, Harri

dictation request

Hello Harri. I became very enthusiastic withthe use of your dictation system. It is very smart at writing punctuations, and it’s automatic translation feature which I discovered by accident he’s very handy. I know you said you could not improve it anymore for the moment, But I have a request. Would it be possible to add a custom dictionary to add exotic names that the dictation system does not transcribe well, names like yours or mine… I was hoping dictation could use MBraille‘s custom dictionary, but that doesn’t seem to be the case. Issue when selecting text in MBraille

Hi Harri! I think I’ve found a bug when editing text. I am unable to select text if the cursor is at the end of the line and I want to select from right to left. Here are the steps to reproduce: 1. Type the sentence: This is a test. 2. Move the cursor to the end of the buffer. 3. Hold down dot 3 and set the preview mode to words. 4. Then hold down dot 2 while swiping left. Expected behavior: MBraille should select "test", "is", "this". Observed behavior: MBraille provides no feedback, and the text does not appear to be selected. A question about gesture for inserting newline/linebreaks

Hi fellow MBraille testers! Just a question about inserting line breaks. Which gesture do you use most often? Personally, I find that I primarily use the two-finger flick to the right, rather than the previous MBraille gesture. Do TalkBack and VoiceOver share the same gestures regarding line breaks? Hi Harri! Thanks for the clarification about the command history feature. However I have found a bug, if I type a message and use the history gesture, the content is not pasted into the text field as expected. So I have to start the command mode for the action to take effect. Hope you can fix this. Note I still find selfvoicing very slow when editing text. It is much faster with VoiceOver running. audio ducking

Hi, I find I am getting the new MBraille audio ducking activated with certain things, with self voicing disabled. It is possibly worse with 0.929 than with 0.928. I just tried regressing to .928. I think the new line sounds are activating the audio ducking, and a few other things. in 0.929 the dropbox update thing seems to be hitting me every time the app gains focus, which kicks in the audio ducking. So have yet to experience voiceover with no ducking in 0.929. Can get it in 0.928 until I do a new line. Keith

for non-english users, Mbraille's Home Screen

Hi all non-English users, I would like to raise a small point that may disturb non-technically minded users. Let's take my case as an example, my iPhone is set to French. On Mbrile's home screen, voiceover speaks French but with the English voice. I don't know how that happens but I noticed that when voiceover'slanguage recognition is on, which it is by default, voiceover may sometime; choosethe wrong voice. In the case of Mbrile's home screen, I don't know if something can be done about this. Thanks as always Harry for your wonderful work.
