v0.9.10 coming your way

Hi everybody, This version fixes the ai command and improves on cal command argument parsing. cal was the calendar event creation command. Also a warm welcome to Matthew, a new iOS tester. I have no plans to make a third-party keyboard for iOS, it is too much hassle and Apple puts too many restrictions on those. Third party keyboards for Android are uncharted territory for me. But from what I've read, Android is a lot more developer friendly in that area, so it is a possibility. I will also need see how much traction MBraille will get on Android. I have a few more bigger features coming up and then I will start preparing a public version launch. For iOS there will be some test version directly from Apple, which will replace the legacy app, which will also test the migration, so that things like aliases, documents, user dictionaries get migrated to the new version. Feature request, paste command

hello harri, I wonder if an alias could contain a command that would paste the clipboard at a given point. –, you could have an alias containing a whole text, and just change the recipients name in the text, allowing you to send the same message to different person with their own name for example. v0.9.9 Norwegian Success!

Hi all, 0.9.9 is out, celebrating Norwegian performance in winter olympics by introducing support for contracted braille in Norwegian :) cal command is also back, with a twist. I spent a lot of time tweaking the slider for speech rate setting, finally making it work also in Talkback. Not sure how close it is to Apple native slider in VoiceOver, but hopefully usable. Inaccuracy in typing more than in public build

Hi, I find that when typing text, dot combinations are registered as swipes, resulting in switching to command mode or copying or cutting inadvertently. Did not encounter such inaccuracies as often in public mbraille build. I suppose one can get better at precision typing but still thought I'd flag. Calibrating keyboard helps a bit, but still not ideal. Thanks and have a nice day. Questions about click sound settings, AI command and bug with spelling and typing echo by words

Hello, Do we still have way to change typing sounds and new line sounds? There were the set commands but I don't see anything about them in the documentation. Also, where do we find past release notes? Would like to try that AI chat, that others mentioned. Finally, spelling does not work for me. Holding dot 1 with swipe left and right with one finger does not get any reaction. Also, after attempting to add my name to dictionary, any correction now results in inserting my name. Finally, space does not always result in reading out last word. I have typing echo set to words only. Hope this helps. Let me know if you need any screen recordings. Alias containing new lines?

Hello, Do I understand correctly and now aliases can not contain new lines? I had a whole text with paragraphs that would expand with a defined alias. Any way to still do this now? Gemini/AI chat

Hi, I wonder if anyone has tried the ai chat command, I never got any feedback on that? Seems I've forgotten to document it, it was only in the change-log. From there: * AI chat. Currently uses Gemini. Swipe up with 3 fingers and type ai followed by your prompt. Example ai write me a haiku about fish The answer will be inserted into your text at current cursor location. Without arguments gemini will use your current text as prompt and append it's response to the text. You can then continue the conversation just adding a new prompt in the end, holding dot 4 and swiping up to get your last command, which was gemini, and swiping down. This is a very powerful interaction model, better than the chat windows available in browsers, which require you to copy paste the answers. Important: the functionality has privacy implications, the test version uses free Gemini chat, where Google may use your data for training. For the final production version, I will switch to paid tier, where your data is not used for training according to Google Terms of Service. I'm wondering about announcements, now it says 'Response inserted' when you get an answer. Short answers could be just spoken directly... maybe a preference setting for this is needed. Speech rate question

Hi everybody, I think Jean-Philippe and Richard both wanted to have bit more granular control of the speech rate. Jean-Philippe proposed using a slider. I originally had a slider, but I discovered that slider accessibility is poor, at least in older Android Talkback that I have. Instead, I could add a 6th choice, custom, where you could enter a decimal value between 1-10, let's say 3.5 for instance. How does that sound? It only affects the self-voicing speed, VoiceOver/Talkback speech rate I cannot change. Best regards, Harri
