Audio bug

Hi, As the beta gets better I am attempting to use it more in non testing situations. And with that, sorry to say, another moderately serious bug. Many of the sounds the app makes are interrupting music playing on my phone. It's like MBraille is taking control of the audio. So music actually stops instead of just ducking or continuing to play. The following things make music stop: App open Swipe down with newline sound on Misspelled word if not set to vibrate command mode toggle beeps click sound that plays as keyboard clicks are turned on or off from within settings. Probably some I have missed. Interestingly, the clicks that happen with typing do not cause music to stop. I am composing this message in the legacy app, and not experiencing any music outages as the keyboard clicks away and new line sounds are happening. Keith PS: Just Turned off Voiceover. The self voicing voice also causes music to turn off.

My mistake. That contraction is dots 235, not 234. Hi, This fixes some reported issues, some actually being small new features. Maybe one more release through Firebase, the moving to test releases directly from Apple and Google. That will then replace the legacy mbraille. Best regards, Harri

Android specific issue

Hi, For info: I experienced today that my mobile banking application refused to open, and the reason it gave was that there was a suspicious accessibility service called MBraille Beta on the device. It told me to uninstall MBraille Beta. If I were not the author of MBraille, I would have been worried. :) The reason for this is that Accessibility services are privileged applications, and Google has not yet vetted MBraille accessibility service, which I had to do to enable full screen braille input while TalkBack was running. Again, once MBraille is in Google Play store, this should no longer happen. Best regards, Harri

Ueb and other concerns

Hello All, first, I want to respond to Richard ueb issue. i have tried this out by using the "to" sign without a space between the word "walk" and the "to sign” and it did not expand. in settings, I have both UEB and contractions turned on. Another issue, I am having, is when I re-initiate the braille keyboard and swipe down to add a line, I have voice over speak.one. When I go to swipe down again or to the right, I get the other dot position announced and can’t recalibrate the Braille keyboard. Also, at times the entire braille screen goes blank and crashes. at this point, I need to close out the app totally. The issue of not having a letter or a word announced after us space is added as continues. This is an issue that has been in this beta for a while, and I’m not sure if it will be fixed soon. I have also slowed down my braille input, which has made it more tedious to use the app for Word processing. Version 0.9.23: Clear buffer when executing commands feature/bug?

Hi Harri and other testers! Just a few observations regarding the setting that clears the buffer when a command is executed. I wonder if some of the following are expected behaviour, a feature or a bug? Using the external keyboard buffer: When I execute a command, like sms or mail, I have explicitly told MBraille to clear the buffer after sending. When I return to the text field, all text is still present. If I try the same from the braille editor, using the braille keyboard mode the text is cleared as expected. However, if I in the Braille keyboard mode cancel the command. like if I press cancel instead of send when I did the sms-command the buffer is cleared. Can MBraille get some kind of exit code if cancel is pressed instead of the send button? Would really like to be able to get back to the content if I cancel the screen. SMS cuts off before question mark

Typing in grade 2 braille. I write an SMS. At whatever point I put a question mark, the message is cut off. MBraille buffer: How are you? The weather is nice today. Message that goes out to SMS: How are you Have tested this a few times, and seems consistent. Keith

Romanian spelling errors on every word

Hi, Switched to Romanian input and every word got spelling mistake beep. I know there was no spelling support for this language, but there should not be spelling error sounds in this case. Thanks. Problem with UEB

I sent Harri feedback but wanted to include everyone. As I think Kieth had mentioned, setting MBraille beta to UEB contracted, still treats it like standard US grade 2. If I use one of the nine contractions that were dropped from UEB, like the "to" sign used without spaces before other words, instead of showing an exclamation point, which is what it should be in UEB, it expands it to the word "to" then a space, and the next word. I have not tested all nine contractions, but I would not be surprised if they behave similarly. Dial command can not handle prefix

Hi Harri! I noticed the following when trying to use the dial command In Denmark we can hide our caller ID by typing a prefix before the phone number. This is #31# followed by the number who we want to call. if I type this syntax into MBraille it gives an error, because the number cannot be found in contacts. In some cases I just want to place a call without lookup in contacts.
